Elevating Connections: What to Expect at the 2026 Wellness Center Creators Retreat

Jul 11, 2025

"The connections that are made and being in community for four days, and really having, walking away with this next time it'll be walking away with 40, 40 to 50 new colleagues that you can reach out to and work together on things with and how cool is that?" — Kendall Hagensen

What happens when you double the size of an already transformative retreat experience? Magic, according to Anna and Kendall, who are preparing to welcome up to 40 attendees to their most ambitious Wellness Center Creators Retreat yet, scheduled for September 22-25, 2026.

The evolution from 20 to 40 participants has allowed the hosts to completely reimagine the retreat structure, introducing two specialized tracks designed to meet practitioners exactly where they are in their business journey. The "Bloom" track serves solo providers and small group practices ready to expand into multidisciplinary wellness centers, while the "Grow" track focuses on established wellness center owners looking to scale through second locations, advanced leadership development, or strategic exit planning.

"We've had people come to the retreat before who want to just grow in one discipline. And all of the information is still pertinent," Anna reassures, ensuring practitioners across all specialties feel welcome regardless of their expansion goals.

The retreat's foundation remains the same: practical, workshop-style learning combined with the profound community connections that attendees consistently cite as the most transformative aspect. "The connections that are made and being in community for four days... walking away with 40 to 50 new colleagues that you can reach out to and work together on things with—how cool is that?" Kendall explains, highlighting how these professional relationships extend far beyond the retreat weekend.

This year's facilitator lineup represents a carefully curated blend of returning favorites and exciting new additions. Anna returns to lead systems development sessions, emphasizing how solo practitioners often don't realize they need structured systems until growth demands them. The beloved Megan Nina from Articulate Design brings her unique physiotherapist-turned-interior-designer perspective to wellness space creation, while Robin continues his popular money management sessions with the dual perspective of clinician and financial expert.

Jess returns with his masterful speaking style for leadership development, accompanied by Josh and Chanel bringing patient communication expertise and practical manifestation strategies. Scott, Kendall's marketing specialist, will share hard-won wisdom about avoiding common marketing pitfalls that cost wellness practices both money and credibility.

New additions include Adam, Kendall's commercial real estate broker, who will demystify leasing and purchasing decisions for wellness practices. The hosts are also considering adding a healthcare attorney and specialized virtual assistant team to address the unique challenges wellness practices face when scaling operations.

The retreat's signature element—field trips to functioning wellness centers—remains central to the experience. "One of the big reasons why I've always loved hosting it here and want to continue to host it here is for people to see a functioning wellness business and to get ideas about design, get ideas about how systems are flowing and to see it actually in real life, in real time," Kendall explains.

Recognizing the power of team alignment, both hosts strongly encourage bringing leadership team members. Anna shares how bringing her clinical coordinator created a bond "in a way that I don't think staying in the office could have done because we were able to spend that time strategizing and thinking about the company, but also getting to know one another outside of being at work."

The retreat experience itself has been elevated for 2026, with catered breakfast and lunch in private spaces, enhanced spa treatment options, and a group reception dinner. These improvements reflect the hosts' commitment to creating an environment where deep learning and authentic connection can flourish.

With registration opening September 1, 2025—a full year in advance—attendees have unprecedented opportunity to plan, secure early bird pricing, and arrange payment plans. This early timeline reflects both the anticipated demand and the hosts' recognition that transformative professional development requires intentional planning and investment.

For wellness practitioners ready to elevate their practice, expand their vision, and connect with a community of like-minded professionals, this retreat represents more than professional development—it's an investment in the future of holistic healthcare.
